Jack doesn't fancy the tea boy.

Hullo...

Another fic for you all, this is the companion piece to Ianto doesn't have a thing for his boss
You don't have to have read that one first, but I think they work better together.

Title: Jack doesn't fancy the tea boy.
Pairing Jack/Ianto
Disclaimer: Nope. Not mine... (darn.)
Rating: Ummm... PG.
Spoilers: I hope you've seen all the episodes by now. If not, this might spoil the ending of the series.
Summary:

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy... Does he?

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he tells everyone what has been running through his mind since Ianto first started working at Torchwood Three. Jack isn't sure how Ianto will take it, but its not like he hasn't got a reputation for saying thing like that. Jack wonders if Ianto will take him seriously.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he strokes his fingers over Ianto's hand. Jack has no idea what Ianto's reaction will be, but he doesn't think it will be too bad. Jack is open to most things - he's not exactly fussy, but there's something about Ianto that makes Jack want to crease his suit.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he hasn't seen Ianto for a while. Jack knows it's pretty pathetic that he's feeling uncomfortable about the fact that nobody has offered him a cup of coffee for an hour or two. Jack wonders where Ianto has got to and hopes to God he doesn't have a girlfriend.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he knows for certain that nothing on earth (or even off it...) will ever make him pull the trigger. Jack is angry with Ianto for threatening the whole planet, but somehow the betrayal of Jack's trust hurts even more than the possible death of Jack's species.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when the first thing he sees when he opens his eyes is Ianto, face down in the rift pool. Jack knows that there are several slightly more important things at hand right now, but Jack pushes them to the back of his mind as he scrambles to reach Ianto.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when Ianto brings him coffee without being asked to. Jack thinks that Ianto is trying to apologise in caffinated beverages, but Jack has forgiven him already. Jack realises he couldn't stay mad at Ianto for very long, no matter what he did.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he comes crashing through the doors in the stolen tractor and the first thing he sees is Ianto on his knees with a cleaver at his throat. Jack wants to kill everybody who has ever hurt Ianto, and he's got a whole roomful of people to take his anger out on first.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when Ianto looks away from him. All Jack wants is Ianto to pay attention to him because Jack has never met anyone like Ianto before. Anyone who can completely pull the wool over Jack's eyes for so long must be worth getting to know better.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when Ianto is so deliciously unsubltle about his intentions. It takes Jack several seconds to realise that Ianto is actually coming on to him. Ianto smiles at him and Jack is stunned because had no idea that Ianto thought like that about anyone, even him.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he realises he is actually disappointed that it was Gwen who had kissed him. Jack knows that he must have gone for a much longer time than usual because he is ice cold and laid out in a bodybag. Jack wonders how Ianto is coping, or even if he is.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when he realises that Ianto has been crying while Jack had been dead. Jack can see the tears still in Ianto's face. A simple handshake will never be enough, especially after all that time in the dark. Jack needs to feel alive and Ianto tastes like home.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when, approximately thirty seconds after the TARDIS has left Torchwood Three, it hits Jack that maybe leaving Ianto so soon after Ianto had believed him to be dead might not have been the smartest move. Jack tells the new Doctor this. The Doctor agrees.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy.

So it doesn't mean anything when, three months, five days and nineteen hours later (Torchwood time - Jack's been counting) he returns to find Ianto standing stock still with his eyes tight shut. Jack is almost afraid to touch him, but he's spent to long with only Ianto's memory for comfort.

Jack doesn’t fancy the tea boy...

Who the hell is he kidding?

There you go, hope you like it. Reviews are still very cool...
